Up to 500 participants meet to discuss and exchange ideas on challenges and risks the sector faces in rapidly changing times. With regard to sustainable tourism cooperation post 2020, both a panel discussion and a professional workshop provide insights into the current development of the Baltic Sea Tourism Center and give prospects for more continuous cooperation structures in the Baltic Sea region.
In addition, the organisers are pleased to welcome Mr. Beka Jakeli, Coordinator for Member Relations at UN World Tourism Organisation among the honoured speakers providing insights on how the Baltic Sea region is positioned on global scale and what it needs to resist increasing international competition. Next to sustainable development and cooperation, major focus will be given on innovation, creation, preservation and digitalisation in tourism. Experts of each area offer inspiring speeches as ground for discussions and fruitful networking on both conference days. Read more about in the preliminary programme.
This year’s Forum will be organized and hosted by: Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, Ministry of Economics of Latvia, Baltic Sea Tourism Center and Policy Area Tourism of the EU Strategy of the Baltic Sea region.
